Who is Valle del Sol?

Valle del Sol is a nonprofit organization with a history of caring for the community by helping men, women, children, families and the elderly each year through healthcare, human service, and leadership development programs. Valle del Sol’s culturally diverse, bilingual staff provides a wide range of programs and services for the entire family. Our mission is “Valle del Sol inspires positive change by investing in human services to strengthen families with tools and skills for self-sufficiency and by building the next generation of Latino and diverse leaders".

How does Valle del Sol Care for Children and Families?

Founded on the recognition that young people and families face many stressful conditions, such as trouble in school, family violence or divorce, troubled relationships, anger, depression and other emotional issues, drug and alcohol use, involvement with the legal system, or challenges associated with poverty, Valle del Sol helps them to achieve a better life. Our agency has led the way in helping to keep thousands of men, women, children and their families healthy, productive and strong.

At Valle del Sol, children and families receive services that emphasize the unique strengths and needs each child has and having their services tailored to meet those needs. Most importantly, clinical staff assists youth and families to regain a feeling of inspiration to live fulfilled lives.

What does Quality Mean for Valle del Sol?

Valle del Sol has a deep commitment toward providing quality services. As an example, it has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for four of its programs that specialize in substance abuse and mental health in Arizona. This is the fifth time Valle del Sol was awarded a three-year accreditation from CARF, a leading independent, nonprofit accrediting body of human services. Valle del Sol pledges to consumers and the community that services provided will meet the highest standards possible to meet their behavioral healthcare needs.

What About Cultural Diversity at Valle del Sol?

Valle del Sol values cultural diversity, whether it’s ethnicity or language, and believes it plays an important role in the treatment and care of consumers and involvement of the family. Last year, consumers rated Valle del Sol with a 98% level of satisfaction for their services received in a culturally competent manner. The uniqueness and dignity of every consumer is valued and respected at Valle del Sol.

What Input do Consumers have at Valle del Sol?

Consumer satisfaction remains a high priority at Valle del Sol. The results of a recent consumer survey revealed that the services provided through the Youth and Family Services programs received an overall consumer satisfaction rating of 94 percent and 96 percent felt their experience with Valle del Sol Youth Services helped them. Valle del Sol will seek out the input of consumers to ensure that service delivery meets the needs of the community, measure their satisfaction, and work to meet our mission of inspiring positive change.
