**Starting at 12 hours and possible up to 30 hours

The ACT CPSW performs only the duties of an ACT CPSW, and can carry a rotational caseload when required to address one-on-one support needs and providing support for day-to-day problem-solving skills related to the normalization and reintegration into the community. The ACT CPSW is responsible for surrounding individuals/families with the services and resources they need to promote recovery, rehabilitation, and resiliency. Services provided by the ACT CPSW can include interventions aimed at improving independent living, learning, working, socializing, and recreation skills. The ACT CPSW will also assist in identifying and coordinating other supports in order to enhance the individual/families’ ability to make informed and independent choices.


  • At least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Current CPW certification in the state of NM
  • At least two years of mental health or substance abuse recovery
  • Must have demonstrated abilities in:
  • Establishing a rapport
  • Accessing community resources
  • Providing culturally relevant services
  • Must be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge and understanding of human behavior, substance abuse and behavior management theories.
  • Must be able to provide culturally sensitive services as shown by knowledge, skills and abilities ascertained from initial interview pre-employment
  • Must have strong verbal and written skills
  • Knowledge of Windows environment and/or Electronic Health Records systems.
  • Must have a current CPR & First Aid certification or receive training within 90 days of hire date.
  • Must have a current Handle with Care certification or receive training within 90 days of hire date.
  • Must have or able to obtain valid Fingerprint Clearance.


  • Physical: Ability to drive, heat tolerant during summer months, legible penmanship
  • Mental: Ability to deal with emotional and/or stressful situations
  • Environmental: Most work is performed out of the office
