**$55,252/year for Associate License

**$65,041/year for Independent License

The Therapist provides counseling services and coordination of care for consumers and families, utilizing individual, group, and/or family approaches as indicated by need. Is responsible for service delivery in accordance with the Therapist role, including conducting assessments, facilitating or participating in Multidisciplinary Team Meetings, and providing clinical oversight to teams. Negotiates individualize service plans, implements agreed upon interventions and monitors progress toward goal completion. Works with the child and family team to prevent and/or appropriately respond to crises and to minimize out-of-home placement. Monitors consumer level of acuity/need and recommends appropriate level of case management and/or psychiatric services accordingly. Promotes consumer/family independence and assists with transition planning. Provides clinical services and may supervise others that are not licensed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • The therapist must possess one of the following New Mexico licenses: licensed independent social worker (LISW); licensed master social worker (LMSW), clinical nurse specialist in child psychiatric nursing, licensed professional clinical mental health counselor (LPCC), licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), licensed independent school psychologist, licensed professional mental health counselor (LPC), licensed professional art therapist (LPAT), licensed entry level school psychologist, or licensed mental health counselor (LMHC).
  • Must have the skills and knowledge necessary to provide the behavioral health services that the agency is authorized to provide and to meet the unique needs of client populations served by the agency.
  • Must be able to provide culturally sensitive services as shown by knowledge, skills and abilities ascertained from initial interview pre-employment
  • Must have strong verbal and written skills
  • Knowledge of Windows environment and/or Electronic Health Records systems.
  • Must have a current CPR & First Aid certification or receive training within 90 days of hire date.
  • Must have a current Handle with Care certification or receive training within 90 days of hire date.
  • Must have or able to obtain valid Fingerprint Clearance.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Ability to develop routine reports and correspondence.
  • Membership in professional organizations
  • Specialized certifications as applicable
  • Prefer knowledge of multicultural populations.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physical: Ability to drive, heat tolerant during summer months, legible penmanship.
  • Mental: Ability to deal with emotional and/or stressful situations.
  • Environmental: Most work is performed in an office setting
