This individual will be responsible for explaining the treatment process to clients & families and the professional and accurate completion of the licensing mandated comprehensive assessment packet; this includes meeting with the patient, and their guardian if applicable, establishing rapport with all individuals’ present and gathering confidential information in an efficacious and professional manner. Must be able to listen effectively and based on clinical knowledge and client data be able to determine a preliminary diagnosis for the patient which will act as the basis of the Integrated Behavioral Health service plan. In addition to the ISP, this individual must also be capable of completing the Mental Status Exam, the Crisis Plan, the Risk Assessment, the Strength and Culture Discovery, Overall impressions, and must follow the Admissions and Assessment procedure, which will follow a “Fast Track” and :”TreatFirst” virtual walk-in process.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • The therapist must possess one of the following New Mexico licenses: licensed independent social worker (LISW); licensed master social worker (LMSW), clinical nurse specialist in child psychiatric nursing, licensed professional clinical mental health therapist (LPCC), licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), licensed independent school psychologist, licensed professional mental health therapist (LPC), licensed professional art therapist (LPAT), licensed entry level school psychologist, or licensed mental health therapist (LMHC).
  • Must have the skills and knowledge necessary to provide the behavioral health services that the agency is authorized to provide and to meet the unique needs of client populations served by the agency.
  • Must be knowledgeable and/or willing to learn about Integrated Health Care and Integrated BH Specialty services.
  • Must be able to provide culturally sensitive services as shown by knowledge, skills and abilities ascertained from initial interview pre-employment
  • Must have strong verbal and written skills
  • Knowledge of Windows environment and/or Electronic Health Records systems.
  • Must have a current CPR & First Aid certification or receive training within 90 days of hire date.
  • Must have a current CPI certification or receive training within 90 days of hire date.
  • Must have or able to obtain valid Fingerprint Clearance.
  • Must possess reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance.

GENERAL ADDITIONAL PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Bilingual preferred
  • Ability to develop routine reports and correspondence.
  • Membership in professional organizations
  • Specialized certifications as applicable
  • Prefer knowledge of multicultural populations.
